Our Menu

Our dishes compliment each other perfectly, and are served thali style
so that you get a great mix of flavours. 

Our curries:
Paneer Butter Masala – Indian cheese in a rich creamy sauce
Cabbage Thoran – Southern Indian cabbage and coconut dish
Chana Masala – Spicy chickpeas
Dhal Fry – Lentils with fresh tomatoes and ginger
Saag Aloo – Mildly spiced spinach and potato

The Ganesh plate - Hungry like an Elephant God? Have all 5 curries

Both plates are served with basmati rice and/or chapati, and mango chutney on the side. You can add lime pickle, extra chillis, and a sprinkle of fresh coriander to your taste.

Hungry like a monkey? Try Hanuman the Monkey God’s snack bowl –
a pakora, samosa and bhaji served with our own speciality date and tamarind chutney,
and a mint and lime raita.

We also make fresh yogurt lassis – sweet or salted, and fantastic homemade spicy chai for those cooler festival nights.

 
 

All of the curries at The Curry Shed are made from scratch on the festival site using recipes that we picked up on our travels in India, learning from local people in various environments from family homes to some pretty suspect kitchens in street restaurants.
Be assured that we attempt only to replicate the authentic tastiness of the food and not the state of those kitchens!
